Tripura Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha and MLA Sudip Roy Barman on September 17 visited the communal violence affected ‘Kaiturbazar’ area of Ranir Bazar under West Tripura district and met all victim families. On August 25th night, a communal clash erupted at ‘Kaiturbazar’ village after defacing of the idols at a local Kali temple by ‘unidentified miscreants’ . Later, a group of unidentified miscreants attacked nearby areas and torched at least 16 houses, and burnt several vehicles on August 25 midnight, causing injuries to four persons.
