5-day long FDP cum national workshop on IKS Inaugurated at CSU
The Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus in joint collaboration with Holy Cross College, Tripura, is organizing a 5-day long FDP cum National Workshop on ‘Strategies for Assimilation of IKS with the Modern Education System’ from 18 to 22 March, 2024. The inaugural session of the same was held on March 18 at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus. Prof. Satyadeo Poddar, Vice-Chancellor of MBB University, Tripura, chaired the session as the Chief Guest.
In his address, he opined that proper synthesis of Indian Knowledge System & Modern Education system will only be possible when such kinds academic initiatives will be taken for scholarly dialogue. Dr. Fr. Benny K. John CSC, Holy Cross College, Principal, graced the session as Guest of honour and opined that future collaborative initiatives will also be taken to promote proper integration of IKS with the Modern education system. Prof. PVB Subrahmanyam, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Raghunath Kirti Campus, Uttarakhand addressed the session as Resource person and highlighted the enriching contribution of Bhaskaracarya in promoting Mathematics. This session was presided over by Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of the Campus who highlighted the scientific concepts embedded in Jyotish shastra. This inaugural session was coordinated by Dr. Suman Acharjee, Assistant Professor (English).
