BJP gearing up for upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to cover all villages
The ruling BJP to launch a massive drive with 16 specially decorated vehicles under Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra with an aim to reach all the 1176 villages including 589 Gram Panchayats and 587 Village Committees across the state.
Sources said that the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has instructed all the party executives to complete their organizational preparations for the Lok Sabha Election by December next. The Chief Minister gave this instruction during a state committee meeting of the party held at Gitanjali state guest house in Agartala on Sunday, party national general secretary Pankaja Gopinath Munde and party’s state in-charge Rabindra Raju.
The meeting started with listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 107th Maan Ki Baat programme, where all party MLAs, district presidents and all organisations heads of the party were also present.
Entire proceedings of the meeting concentrated on preparation of the party for upcoming Lok Sabha elections as the Chief Minister made it clear that all steps must be taken to reach out to the people and ensure a victory in both the seats with maximum margin. He said all the Pristha Mramukhs and workers in all levels must start work to strengthen their booths.
BJP’s state president Rajib Bhattacahrjee said that the meeting has detailed discussion over party’s preparation for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Sources said that two of the 16 vehicles have already reached the state and are working at Simna and Dhalai district. The 14 others also will reach within a few days.
Sources added that these vehicles will carry the message of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Sushasan (good governance) and many other issues. The vehicles also will have health care and health check up facilities to give a free service to the villagers.
These vehicles will visit all the villages as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra but today’s meeting made it clear that it is going to be the first round of the party's campaign for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
