State’s overall growth rate stand at 8.89 %, spl secretary of Planning, Statistics dept
The National Survey’s 79th round has been successfully completed in the state and in the annual modular survey over Ayush, the samples have been collected from 288 village areas and 152 urban areas of all eight districts of the state, said the Special Secretary of Planning & Statistics department.
Addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Monday afternoon, special secretary Abhishek Chandra said that survey has been conducted from July 1st, 2022 to June 31st, 2023 last computer aided personal interviews and in the survey, the economic development, growth rate, per capita income through gross state domestic product (GSDP) are the important index and in the financial year 2022-23, the state’s overall growth rate recorded at 8.89 % as per advance estimate. The GSDP stands at Rs. 72,635.62 crore and per capita income of the state stands at Rs.1, 59,419.
Chandra said that in the FY-2022-23, the primary sector contributed 44.35%, secondary sector 10.50% and tertiary sector contributed 45.15% as per the advance estimates in GSDP.
He said that on June 29th last, the 17th Planning Day observed in the state to mark the birth anniversary of Prof. PC Mahalanbish and published three publications on statistics. He also said that the state’s composite score stands at 65 as per the NITI Aayog’s permanent development index for FY 2020-21, which was 55 in the year 2018.
The poverty index score of the state in 2023 as NITI Aayog stands at 0.056, which was 0.075 in FY-2015-16.
