Tripura govt to recruit 414 medical officers, 67 retired police officers for 3 immigration centers
After long two and months of period of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for 18th Lok Sabha elections and lifting of MCC, the Tripura cabinet after two meetings on Tuesday announced that a total of 469 government to be filled up through recruitment process including 414 medical officials to expand the health services across the state.
On Tuesday afternoon, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat in Agartala said that the state government after two cabinet meetings, held on June 13 and 15 last under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has decided to fill up 226 posts for General Duty Medical Officer (Grade-4), 172 Specialist Medical Officer (Grade-4) and 16-Super-Speciality Medical Officer (Grade-3) under Health and Family Welfare department.
All these posts to be filled up through recruitment process, would be initiated by Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) with written test for 85% marks and 15% marks for viva, said Chowdhury and added that after the recruitment process of above 400 medical officers, the health services for the people of the state further boost up.
The state cabinet has also decided to fill up 49 vacant posts of Sub-Officer (Group-C) under Fire Service department also through TPSC and 6 more posts of Food Sub-Inspector (Group-C) to be filling up through Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT).
After advice from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to start immigration centre at Agartala airport, Nischintapur Railway station and Sabroom Integrated Check Post (ICP), the cabinet has also decided to re-appoint 67 retired police officers of the state on contractual basis.
Chowdhury said that 67 retired police officers after their reappointment along with in service police officers, a total of 85 police officers would be deployed for immigration counter duties in Agartala airport for commence of international flight with Chittagong of Bangladesh, Nischintapur railway station for international railway services and at the immigration centre of Sabroom ICP.
He said that a proposal would be sent to MHA and after clearance from MHA, all 85 police officers including 67 retired police officers would be deployed in three immigration centres of the state.
