The recruitment advertisement (No. 03/TSECL/2025-26) invites eligible Indian nationals to apply by 18 November 2025 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility & Job Specifications
The candidate must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or Master in Law from a UGC-recognized institution, securing at least 55% marks (or equivalent grading). They should have a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience either in a law firm or an in-house legal department of a government/PSU/organization, with preference for experience in the power sector. Additionally, the applicant should:

Be a domicile of Tripura and furnish valid PRTC (Tripura Resident Certificate) per GA(P&T) Dept notification dated 07/07/2025.

Have knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.

Possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, and demonstrable experience of legal policy, regulatory compliance, litigation, etc.
Nature of Service & Selection Process
This is a contractual appointment for 11 months, which may be extended by mutual consent. Posting is across any part of the State of Tripura, under TSECL’s operational area. There is no pension benefit. Termination may happen by either party giving 30 days’ notice or one month’s salary.
Selection will be done through a written examination and interview. If eligible candidates are less than 50, then only interview will be conducted.

Applicants must submit the prescribed format (Annexure-A) along with a Demand Draft (DD) of:

The DD should be drawn from any nationalised bank, payable to “Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited”, at Agartala. The fee is non-refundable. Applications must be sent in a sealed envelope, super-scribed “Application for the post of Legal Officer under TSECL” and addressed to the Managing Director, TSECL, Bidyut Bhavan, North Banamalipur, Agartala, Tripura (West) 799001. All correspondence will be done via e-mail or contact number provided.
Incomplete applications, those received after the deadline, or applications with missing enclosures will be summarily rejected.
