Historical Journey
Tripura merged with the Indian Union on October 15, 1949. It became a Union Territory in 1956 and achieved full statehood on January 21, 1972.
The state is a blend of tribal traditions and modern development, with a unique administrative structure including the Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
