Agartala, March 18: The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited has invited e-tenders from eligible agencies and firms for the implementation of major power infrastructure projects in Agartala Municipal Area.
According to the Notice Inviting E-Tender dated March 16, 2026, issued by the General Manager (Technical), the projects aim to strengthen the power distribution network and introduce advanced smart grid technologies in the state.
The tender has been divided into three packages, covering a wide range of works:
Package A:
Comprehensive project including underground cabling (MV & LT), smart grid applications, SCADA, Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), Outage Management System (OMS), GIS mapping, optical fiber communication (OFC), and IT integration such as billing, ERP, and CIS systems.
It also includes integration with Distribution Network Automation (DNA) and control centers.
Package B:
Focuses on underground cabling, smart grid applications, and GIS mapping within Agartala.
Package C:
Covers underground cabling (MV & LT) and GIS mapping.
All packages include design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, installation, and commissioning, along with insurance and logistics during transit.
The initiative reflects Tripura’s push toward modernizing power infrastructure by adopting smart grid technologies, improving efficiency, and ensuring better monitoring and outage management.
Officials stated that the integration of SCADA, GIS, and advanced IT systems will significantly enhance real-time control, billing accuracy, and service reliability.
