The local unit advanced owing to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid a strong opening in the equity market.
The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 83.30 and 83.36, respectively, the dealer added.

Mumbai/UNI: The rupee on Thursday rallied eight paise at 83.32 in the opening session against US Dollar on the sale of US dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
