Tamil Nadu: Female elephant found dead
Chennai: A female wild elephant was found dead outside a forest range near Thadagam in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

Forest Department officials said the carcass was found by the patrol team close to a reserve forest, falling under Thadagam north forest area.
Since the carcass of the elephant was in a decomposed state, forest officials believe that it could have died a few days ago.
