The cloud gaming service is set to receive new NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 controls, while support for new Steam devices, GOG single sign-on, Firefox browsers and additional Amazon Fire TV devices will further expand where users can access GeForce RTX-powered PC gaming.

Several major PC titles are also coming to GeForce NOW at launch, including CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company.

For a limited time, members who purchase a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership will also receive CONTROL Resonant at launch at no additional cost.

New NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Controls

GeForce NOW will introduce new NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 controls this fall, giving Ultimate members greater control over image quality and performance in supported games.

Powered by NVIDIA RTX graphics, the controls include DLSS Super Resolution, which improves image quality; Dynamic Frame Generation, which is designed to reduce latency and stuttering for smoother streaming; and Ray Reconstruction, which enhances visuals in games using ray tracing.

The technologies will allow users to adjust supported games based on their preference for image quality, responsiveness or a balance between the two.

NVIDIA said it will provide further details through GFN Thursdays on best practices for enabling DLSS 4.5 overrides and how Dynamic Frame Generation can help Ultimate members use higher graphics settings while maintaining smooth streaming.

Steam, GOG And Firefox Support Expanded

GeForce NOW will add community-requested support for Steam Machine with Steam Controller later this fall, followed by support for Windows and macOS.

The additions build on existing Steam Deck support and are designed to expand compatibility across the Steam ecosystem.

NVIDIA has also introduced GOG single sign-on for GeForce NOW. Users can securely link their GOG account once, automatically sync supported games and launch them without repeatedly signing in.

Popular titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can be found through a dedicated GOG row in the GeForce NOW app. Users can also search or filter for supported GOG games.

Meanwhile, GeForce NOW is now officially supported on Firefox, expanding browser access across major Windows browsers.

Users can access supported PC games directly through Firefox without installing a dedicated app. Ultimate members can stream games at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second, where supported.

More Amazon Fire TV Devices

GeForce NOW is also expanding support to additional Amazon Fire TV devices.

The service will soon be available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, allowing users to stream supported PC games through the cloud using a compatible controller.

Later this year, Fire TV users will also be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly through Amazon, creating a more streamlined route from device setup to cloud gaming.

For a limited time, customers who purchase a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership will receive CONTROL Resonant at launch at no additional cost. The offer runs from August 25 through September 27.

Ultimate members will be able to stream the games with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance, along with features including NVIDIA DLSS 4, ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex and Cinematic Quality Streaming. Up to 5K high dynamic range streaming is available on supported devices.

Games Coming To GeForce NOW

Gears of War: E-Day takes players 14 years before the events of the original Gears of War, following Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde emerges and launches an assault. The game also features multiplayer modes, including the reimagined Horde Siege PvE mode and competitive PvP.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword from Capcom is set in a dark version of Edo-period Kyoto. Players wield the Oni Gauntlet and battle demonic Genma while mastering sword-based combat.

The Blood of Dawnwalker from Bandai Namco takes place in an alternate 14th-century Europe shaped by war, plague and the rise of vampires. Players take control of Coen, a young Dawnwalker caught between his humanity and supernatural abilities.

STAR WARS Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactical game set during the final period of the Clone Wars. Players command an elite squad led by former Republic officer Hawks, with squad composition, strategy and player choices influencing missions and the wider story.

More Than 40 Prizes In Community Giveaway

To celebrate its Gamescom announcements, GeForce NOW is also hosting a community giveaway featuring more than 40 prizes.

Prizes include a MacBook Neo, Steam Deck and Chromebook, each paired with a one-year GeForce NOW Ultimate membership, as well as Amazon Fire TV Sticks and GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships ranging from one month to one year.

NVIDIA noted that the dates reflect the games’ releases on their respective stores. GeForce NOW availability may vary because titles are onboarded after release and added to the service throughout the week.

The company said users should follow GeForce NOW channels and GFN Thursdays for updates on game availability.

Gamers can also try GeForce NOW through a day pass before committing to a membership. NVIDIA says the cost of a day pass can be applied towards a first membership purchase.
