Samsung’s Olympic edition Galaxy Z Flip7 brings AI, dual recording, and victory selfies
Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, on Tuesday unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, a special device exclusively designed for athletes competing at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
The limited-edition smartphone will be provided to nearly 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from around 90 countries, accompanying them throughout their Games-time journey—from life in the Olympic Village to competition and celebration—while enabling them to capture and share unforgettable moments.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will also play a central role in official podium celebrations through the Victory Selfie, which makes its Winter Olympics debut at Milano Cortina 2026. For the first time, the feature will extend to team sport competitions, allowing all participating athletes to document their victory moments from their own perspective.
Additionally, athletes from select National Olympic Committees (NOCs) will be able to showcase their personal passions and Olympic spirit through the Victory Profile, a new photo series captured using the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
“Athletes are at the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and for nearly 30 years Samsung has supported them as a Worldwide Partner through meaningful mobile innovation,” said Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing Center, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.
“Since Sochi 2014, we’ve delivered Olympic Edition devices to support athletes, and we are honored to continue this tradition at Milano Cortina 2026. With the Olympic Edition, athletes can connect with fans and loved ones and capture every unforgettable moment in their own way.”
A Special Olympic Edition for the Winter Games
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is designed as an intelligent, pocket-sized companion built for seamless interaction and everyday reliability. Featuring Galaxy AI and a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow, the device delivers an intuitive, one-handed experience—ideal for athletes on the move during the Games.
Key features include:
Dual rear camera system with a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide lens for flagship-level image clarity
Now Brief, offering personalized daily updates such as reminders, calendar events and fitness summaries, with access to select health and wellness apps
Photo Assist, enabling studio-quality enhancements like object removal, resizing, angle correction and AI-powered background fills
On-device Interpreter, providing real-time translation without network connectivity—especially useful in mountainous and remote areas
Beyond performance, the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition introduces a distinctive design celebrating athletes’ participation in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, while also offering practical services to enhance their experience throughout competition and village life.
The device features a signature blue back glass, reflecting the visual identity of Milano Cortina 2026 and blending Samsung’s brand heritage with the cultural essence of Italian azure. The color symbolizes unity and sportsmanship, while the custom gold metal frame represents excellence, podium achievement and Samsung’s pursuit of innovation.
The Olympic Edition also comes with a clear magnetic case, featuring a blue circular magnet encircled by gold laurel leaves, a timeless symbol of victory.
Each device includes exclusive Milano Cortina 2026–themed wallpapers, inspired by winter sports and the marks created by skate blades on ice. The dynamic curves and vibrant colors celebrate athletic passion and the Olympic spirit.
Athletes can further elevate storytelling with Dual Recording, allowing them to capture both the action and their reactions simultaneously using the front and rear cameras. Tailored exclusively for the Olympic Edition, the feature can be accessed by swiping shooting modes within the Camera app. The split-view function enables creative angles, real-time previews on the FlexWindow, and closer engagement with every defining moment.
