The new lineup combines Samsung's latest foldable technology with enhanced Galaxy AI features, improved durability, more powerful cameras and larger batteries.

Galaxy AI at the core

Samsung said Galaxy AI has been optimised for each device, making interactions more intuitive and productive.

On the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra, AI takes advantage of the larger displays to improve multitasking, while the Flip8's AI-powered FlexWindow offers quick access to information and shortcuts without opening the phone.

The devices also support partner AI experiences, including Gemini Intelligence, enabling users to complete tasks with fewer steps while maintaining privacy, transparency and user control.

"As AI becomes more agentic, mobile devices will become the most personal entry point to experiences that understand and adapt to each user," said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President and Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics.

"By setting a new standard for foldables, we are once again advancing the premium mobile experience and opening the next era of intelligence to more people," he added.

Galaxy Z Fold8: Built for immersive everyday experiences

Samsung said the Galaxy Z Fold8 has been redesigned to offer a more natural foldable experience, allowing users to seamlessly transition from the cover display to the larger main screen for browsing, reading, gaming and entertainment.

Weighing just 201 grams, Fold8 is Samsung's lightest Galaxy Z Fold smartphone to date.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and packs a 4,800mAh battery, offering improved performance and longer battery life.

Brighter display, stronger design

The Fold8 features Samsung's new Flex Titanium display structure, combining a titanium-alloy film with an enhanced titanium plate to improve durability while reducing thickness and crease visibility.

The upgraded hinge mechanism delivers smoother unfolding, while the display supports:

Up to 3,000 nits peak brightness

Vision Booster technology

Low-reflection coating for improved outdoor visibility

Upgraded 200MP camera system

Samsung has significantly enhanced the Fold8's camera capabilities.

Key highlights include:

200MP main camera with HDR support for richer, more detailed photos

50MP ultra-wide camera for landscapes, group photos and macro photography

Improved Nightography for brighter low-light photos and videos

8K video recording using the new APV codec

Cine LUT support for professional-grade colour grading directly on the device

The company said the camera system is designed to make capturing, editing and sharing high-quality content easier for both casual users and creators.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra focuses on productivity

Samsung positioned the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra as its most powerful foldable smartphone yet, targeting professionals, creators and power users.

The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, enabling smooth multitasking, AI-powered workflows and demanding productivity tasks.

To support all-day performance, the Fold8 Ultra includes a 5,000mAh battery, allowing users to work, create and enjoy entertainment throughout the day while retaining a slim foldable design.

Galaxy Z Flip8 offers a more compact experience

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip8, describing it as the slimmest Flip model yet.

Designed for users who prioritise portability and style, the Flip8 features an AI-powered FlexWindow that enables quick interactions, notifications and shortcuts without unfolding the device.

Built on seven generations of foldable innovation, Samsung said the new Galaxy Z lineup offers consumers more choice than ever, combining advanced AI, improved durability and premium hardware across three distinct foldable smartphones.
