30 shots fired in mass shooting outside New York nightclub that injured 11: NYPD
New York: Around 30 shots were fired before the gunmen, who opened fire outside the Amazura nightclub in the Jamaica neighbourhood of New York City, fled the scene on foot and later entered a light-coloured sedan with out-of-state plates, media reports stated, quoting New York Police.

At least 11 people sustained injuries in the shooting near Amazura nightclub, police confirmed. The incident occurred just before 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
The nightclub, located in Jamaica, Queens, is known for its large venue capacity of up to 4,000 people and frequently hosts DJs and live events.
Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera detailed at a press conference that around 15 individuals were standing outside the nightclub at 11:15 p.m., waiting to enter a private event when four men approached the group of teenagers aged 16 to 20.

The assailants, three to four in number, opened fire on the crowd.
Authorities reported that the injured were transported to nearby medical facilities, including Long Island Jewish Hospital and Cohen's Children Medical Center.
None of the victims are in critical condition, and all are expected to survive, according to the New York Post.
Videos shared on the Citizen App displayed a huge police presence and ambulances outside the venue.
This mass shooting comes shortly after a fatal attack in New Orleans that left 15 dead.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed that a US citizen drove a white Ford pickup truck bearing an Islamic State flag into a New Year’s celebration in New Orleans' French Quarter, aiming to kill as many as possible.
The assailant, who opened fire after crashing the vehicle, was killed in a shootout with police.
The 42-year-old truck driver, who flew the ISIS flag while ramming into the crowd, has been identified as US Army veteran Shamsud-Din-Jabbar.
Jabbar, a resident of Texas who had served the US Army in Afghanistan, was shot by police soon after he rammed the vehicle into the crowd, is assumed to be not alone in carrying out the incident.
"The FBI is the lead investigative agency, and we are working with our partners to investigate this as an act of terrorism. We are aggressively running down all leads to identify any possible associates of the subject," the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in a statement.
