Arvind Kejriwal leads AAP's march against Delhi L-G over teachers' Finland trip
New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday led his ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs in a protest march against Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena over the conflict stemming from the city government's decision to send school teachers to Finland for training.
All AAP MLAs marched to the L-G's residence after the assembly's session was adjourned following loud protests by the ruling camp over Saxena's alleged interference in the matter.
Speaking to the reporters, Kejriwal said, "We are sending teachers to Finland for training because the country is known for best education but L-G has ordered they can't be sent to Finland and instead asked for training in India."
"Why is L-G stopping? It's an elected government. It's the taxpayers money. We are sending teachers with the taxpayers' money for the education in Delhi. Who is L-G to stop?" questioned the Chief Minister.

However, the L-G office has quashed the allegations stating it had not stopped the Finland trip but only advised to record the cost-benefit analysis to assess the effectiveness of such trips in the past.
Saxena's office issued a statement which reads, "Any statement on the contrary is deliberately misleading and mischievously motivated.
"The government has been advised to evaluate the proposal in totality and record the cost benefit analysis in terms of impact on quality of education being provided to students, so as to assess the effectiveness of various foreign training programmes for teachers undertaken in the past."
