Arvind Kejriwal takes slim lead over BJP's Parvesh Verma in Delhi polls

New Delhi/IBNS: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was trailing since morning in the New Delhi constituency, has managed to take a slim lead over his nearest opponent as the results of the assembly elections in the national capital are announced on Saturday.
Kejriwal, who is the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo, is ahead of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Parvesh Verma by little over 200 votes.
In the bigger picture too, the AAP is facing a setback as Arvind Kejriwal's party is staring at a stunning defeat in the hands of the BJP, which aims for a return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
As per the trends, the BJP is leading over 40 out of 70 seats while the AAP is languishing at around 28.
The Congress, which was leading in one or two seats in the morning, is now down to zero.
Delhi CM Atishi is trailing in Kalkaji while former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is now leading in Jangpura after staying behind since the morning.
