Bihar polls: RJD announces list of 143 candidates amid seat-sharing tussle within alliance, Tejashwi to contest from Raghopur
Bihar/IBNS: Amid the seat-sharing tussle within the Mahagathbandhan, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Monday announced the list of 143 candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is spearheading the party, will contest from the Raghopur constituency of Vishali district.
The list was announced on the last day of the nomination for the second phase of elections.
Apart from Tejashwi, other important nominations include Chandra Shekhar from Madhepura, Veena Devi from Mokama, Uday Narayan Chaudhary from Jhajha.
Congress, the largest opposition party in the country but a second fiddle in Mahagathbandhan, has announced its second list of candidates.
With the announcement of six new candidates, the total number of Congress candidates now stands at 60.
Within the alliance, questions have surfaced about who will be the Chief Ministerial face if they win.
Congress leaders have raised doubts about accepting Tejashwi as the undisputed CM candidate.
RJD, however, insists there is no dispute over Tejashwi’s nomination.
The disgruntled aspirants from both the RJD and Congress have accused the prime challengers to the ruling NDA of putting election tickets up for sale.
The Mahagathbandhan comprising RJD, Congress and other smaller parties including the Left are aiming to unseat the NDA government spearheaded by Janata Dal (United), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Bihar will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
