BJP National executive meeting to begin today
New Delhi: The two-day National Executive meeting of BJP will begin at the NDMC centre in New Delhi on Monday.
This is going to be the first national executive meeting after the recent assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
The two-day meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president J P Nadda, Union Ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States and other senior party leaders.
At the national executive, the BJP leadership may announce a year’s extension for party president JP Nadda, whose tenure ends later this month.
Before the start of the national executive meeting on Monday, the party has organised a road show for Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Patel Chowk to the NDMC convention centre, the meeting venue.
Prime Minister Modi will address the concluding session of the meeting on Tuesday.
Briefing media in New Delhi on Sunday, party General Secretary Vinod Tawde informed that a mega exhibition based on six different themes including Good Governance First , Inclusive and Empowered India, Vishwa Guru Bharat will be showcased at NDMC Convention Centre where the meeting will take place.
Before the national executive, a meeting of the party’s national office bearers, state unit presidents and various organisational secretaries will be held at the BJP headquarters here.
Around 35 Union ministers, 12 chief ministers, five deputy CMs, 37 state presidents, 27 state general secretaries along with 350 party leaders across the country will deliberate on several issues.
The BJP national executive meet will also draw a roadmap for the crucial political battles that will set the tone for 2024 when PM Narendra Modi seeks a third straight term.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in the national capital on Monday.
The traffic advisory said Ashoka Road (Windsor Place to Jai Singh Road GPO Both Carriageways), Sansad Marg, Tolstoy Road (Janpath to Sansad Marg), Rafi Marg (Rail Bhawan to Sansad Marg), Jantar Mantar Road, Imtiaz Khan Marg and Bangla Sahib Lane will remain closed on January 16 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
