Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh: Delhi court adjourns hearing till July 1
New Delhi: A Delhi Court adjourned hearing in the alleged sexual harassment case filed against BJP MP and outgoing Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to July 1.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Harjeet Singh Jaspal after seeing the lengthy chargesheet filed against Singh adjourned it for consideration on July, 1.
The court after hearing an application of wrestlers seeking a court-monitored probe into their allegations in the matter directed them to withdraw the same as the chargesheet has already been filed.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Mahima Rai Singh on June, 22 after hearing the submission on behalf of the Public Prosecutor transferred the chargesheet to the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Harjeet Singh Jaspal for hearing on June, 27.
Delhi Police filed a charge sheet under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) defined under Indian Penal Code(IPC) against Singh on June, 15.
