Canadian Hindus demonstrate against the recent attack on temple by 'pro-Khalistani' supporters, demand strict action
A large number of Canadian Hindus assembled in Brampton city on Monday evening to demonstrate against the recent attack on devotees outside a temple by alleged Khalistani elements.

The demonstrators demanded strict action from the administration against those involved in the attack.
One of the participants of the solidarity rally, told ANI, “One thing is clear today – Canada mein hamari jaan hai aur Hindustan mein hamari jaan basti hai. Hindu Canadians are very loyal to Canada.”
“What is happening to Hindu Canadians is not right. The time has come for all politicians here to know that what is happening with Hindu Canadians is wrong…We want Canada to treat Hindus well…We want India and Canada relations to strengthen, we are against those who are against this,” he added.
Another participant named Rishabh took part in the solidarity rally and later told ANI: "We are deeply hurt as Hindus, by what happened here yesterday. We have come here in support of the Hindu community. The Hindu community has contributed so much to Canada and we are progressive, we add so much economic value. We follow law and order wherever we go – be it in Canada or anywhere else."
“It is shocking to see the reaction of politicians, of police, how they have treated us…We have come here in support. All we are asking is, for justice to be served. Rule of law to be followed and perpetrators should be tried under rule of law,” he added.
Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) posted on X: " UPDATE: 6,000 Canadians showed up yesterday at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton to protest the coast-to-coast temple attacks we saw on #Diwali weekend. We thank the many organizations, residents and the #Hindu, Jewish, Sikh, Muslim and Christian community leaders and allies who came together in solidarity against rising #Hinduphobia and ask our country to do better."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday condemned the "deliberate attack" on a Hindu temple in Canada's Brampton city.
PM Modi also slammed the attempt to "intimidate" Indian diplomats in Canada, calling the situation 'apalling' and urging the Canadian government to ensure justice.
In a strongly worded post, PM Modi said: "I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law."
