Chhattisgarh: BJP leader slain in Bastar
Dantewada: In the third incident of its kind within a period of as many days, Maoists murdered an opposition-BJP Barsur Block Working Committee member and erstwhile sarpanch on suspicion of his being an informer, law-enforcement authorities confirmed on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ramdhar Alami who was active for the past one-and-a-half decades in the BJP.
On Saturday, family-related work took him to Murumwada Thulthuli village, which is a rebel den.
He was abducted; his throat slit some hours later and the corpse dumped within a forest.
