Congress releases 'chargesheet' against Modi-led NDA govt
New Delhi/UNI: The Congress on Saturday released a one-page document titled "Bhrasht Jumla Party" and termed it as "chargesheet" against the "misrule" of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
The party also released the logo for the party's forthcoming 'Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan' across the country.
"Today, we have released the 'chargesheet' against the 'misrule' of the Modi government. If it is necessary, PCCs(Pradesh Congress Committees) will make a chargesheet against the respective state governments," Congress general secretary in-charge Communication KC Venugopal said after releasing the chargesheet and logo along with senior party leader Jairam Ramesh and secretary in-charge of internal communications Vineet Punia.
Venugopal had earlier said that a letter of party MP Rahul Gandhi about his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' along with a copy of chargesheet will be distributed to the people during the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan', which is scheduled to kickoff on January 26.
"Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan is a follow up of the Bharat Jodo Yatra," he said.
Talking about the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra-led by MP Rahul Gandhi, the senior Congress leader said, "The Yatra is in the final phase. We entered Jammu on January 19. Till January 25, we will be in Jammu. From January 27 to 29, the Yatra will be in Kashmir. Yatra will conclude on January 30."
"We are very much thankful to the people of the country who made this 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' as a grand success. The Yatra has become a great movement of the country," he said.
Venugopal added,"Congress understands the pain which people are suffering due to the "misrule" of the Modi govt. Demonetisation and bad implementation of GST have created a miserable life for the common people."
Apprising further about the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan", Jairam Ramesh said, "This Abhiyan is a second phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Our target is to highlight the failure of the Modi government. It is a 100 per cent political campaign."
