Delhi car incident: Police say two more were involved
New Delhi/IBNS: Two more people were involved in the Delhi car incident where a 20-year-old woman died after she was dragged for 13 kilometers on the New Year, media reports said.
The two accused are Ashutosh, the car owner, and Ankush, the brother of one of the accused.
"Two more were involved apart from the five men in custody. We have scientific evidence. They tried to cover up for the people who committed the gruesome crime," senior police officer Sagarpreet Hooda said as quoted by NDTV.
The two will be arrested soon, police said.
According to Delhi Police special commissioner (law and order, zone 1) Deependra Pathak, a distress call was received by the Kanjhawala Police Station in Rohini at around 3:20 am about a body being dragged by a grey coloured Maruti Baleno heading to Qutubgarh, reports said.
On receiving a call about the woman's body lying on the Kanjhawala main road, a police team rushed to the spot at around 4:11 am.
The cops found the woman's body without clothes and with broken limbs, leading to suspicion that she was sexually assaulted and murdered.
The five people, who were inside the car, were arrested on the charge of "culpable homicide not amounting to murder", rash driving and causing death by negligence.
The 20-year-old victim's mortal remains were cremated on Wednesday.
