Delhi CM Atishi wins from Kalkaji saving AAP's modesty as top guns bite the dust

New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has won from the Kalkaji assembly constituency on a day the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was ousted from power in the national capital by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Atishi defeated BJP's former MP Ramesh Bidhuri in Kalkaji when her party chief Arvind Kejriwal and senior leader Manish Sisodia, a former CM and ex-Deputy CM respectively, lost.
Atishi won by 900 votes in a close contest with Bidhuri.
As per the trends of the Delhi poll results, the BJP is leading in 47 seats paving way for its return to power after 27 years.
The AAP, which had won 62 out of 70 seats, is lagging behind with only 23.
The elections were held on February 5.
