The chief minister also informed that a four-member committee, headed by her and including ministers Ashish Sood, Parvesh Verma, and Kapil Mishra, has been formed to oversee the scheme’s implementation.
The registration process for beneficiaries will begin immediately through a dedicated portal, and the terms and conditions for eligibility will be finalised soon, she added.
The Mahila Samriddhi Yojana is designed to ensure transparency and efficiency in fund disbursement.
According to a statement from the government, the scheme will use an Aadhaar-based e-KYC authentication process to verify applicants, ensuring seamless delivery of financial benefits.
In addition to the financial aid, the government also announced plans to strengthen women safety measures across the city.
Gupta said "one-stop centres" will be set up in all districts to provide police assistance, legal counselling, and other forms of support to women facing distress.
