ED summons two associates of Sanjay Singh in Delhi excise policy case
New Delhi/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned two associates of Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Sanjay Singh for questioning in connection with the (now scrapped) Delhi excise policy case.
One of them, Sarvesh Mishra, appeared at the ED office in Delhi on Friday.
On his way to the ED office, Mishra told the media that "the truth will triumph".
They have been summoned to join the ongoing investigation in connection with the Delhi excise policy-linked money laundering case, sources said.
As per sources, the probe agency will record their statements and then confront them with Sanjay Singh who is currently in its custody.
On Thursday, the AAP leader was sent to ED remand till October 10 following his arrest the previous day after over 10 hours of questioning at his residence in Delhi.
While visiting the Ghazipur Landfill site in East Delhi on Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the entire liquor scam is 'fake'.
“They don’t have any proof of even a single penny. There were allegations of bus scam, classroom scams, electricity, water, and road scams but nothing came out from the investigations," he told the media.
Taking a dig at the BJP-led central government, Kejriwal said their intentions are bad.
“If nothing comes out of the liquor scam after a few days, then they will bring something new. Their intentions are bad, they don’t want to let us work,” alleged the AAP supremo.
