Explosion rocks Delhi's Prashant Vihar area, 2nd blast in just over a month
New Delhi: An explosion occurred near a park boundary wall in Delhi's Prashant Vihar area on Thursday morning, just over a month after a similar blast had caused panic in the same locality, media reports said.

According to a Reuters report, police are investigating a "white powder" found scattered at the scene.
The Delhi Fire Service received a call about the explosion at 11:48 AM, and fire tenders were dispatched to the site.
Teams from the Delhi Police Crime Branch, Special Cell, and Bomb Disposal Squad also arrived to investigate.

The area was cordoned off as part of the ongoing probe.
This incident follows an explosion last month, which had damaged a wall at the CRPF school in the same area.
That blast caused widespread alarm, prompting a high alert across the city and drawing top investigative agencies to the site.
No injuries were reported in that case.
Initial investigations into the earlier blast indicated a crude bomb may have caused it.
However, further examination indicated that the explosion likely resulted from industrial waste in a garbage dump igniting after contact with cigarette butts discarded by a man walking his dog, according to an Indian Express report.
The earlier blast, captured on CCTV, had shattered part of the school wall, broken windowpanes of nearby shops, and damaged several parked cars.
The sound of the explosion was reportedly heard several hundred meters away.
In response to the previous incident, teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Delhi Police cordoned off the area, and forensic experts collected evidence from the scene.
