'Go to Kashmir..we will send terrorists to kill you': DMK leader abuses Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi
Chennai/IBNS: DMK leader Shivaji Krishnamoorthy sparked controversy after making abusive statements against Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, media reported.
“If the Governor refuses to utter the name of Ambedkar in his Assembly speech, don’t I have the right to assault him? If you (governor) don’t read out the speech given by the Tamil Nadu government, then go to Kashmir, and we’ll send terrorists so that they’ll gun you down,” he said, according to an Indian Express report.
In a video that went viral on social media, Shivaji Krishnamoorthy was filmed using #Tamil cuss words on.@rajbhavan_tn while addressing a gathering.

The DMK leader’s comments came amid a face-off between the Tamil Nadu government and Governor RN Ravi.
The tension between the government and the governor escalated further after Ravi made changes to the speech handed over to him by the MK Stalin regime and read it in the Assembly.
The chief minister then passed a resolution demanding that the original speech in Tamil be put in records. Governor Ravi reacted to this in an unprecedented manner and walked out of the House in protest even before the national anthem was played.
However, DMK’s Shivaji Krishnamoorthy crossed all limits of decency and hurled Tamil cuss words at the governor. The video of the same has gone viral.
In the video, Krishnamoorthy can be seen making a scathing attack at BJP state chief K Annamalai. He then goes on to abuse Leader of Opposition Edapaddi K Palaniswami and claimed that “a man is truly masculine only when he has a son,” according to the Indian Express report.
“Our former CM M Karunanidhi, current M K Stalin, and Udhayanidhi Stalin, they are all men because they brought sons into this world,” he said.
Responding to Krishnamoorthy’s tirade, BJP state vice-president Narayana Thirupathy said it was commonplace for the DMK to use filthy and abusive language, the report said.
Earlier, R S Bharathi, too, led a verbal onslaught on the state Governor and said he would kill him, Narayana said. “We wonder if DMK has any links with terrorists,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
