'I feel sad to support such a govt': Chirag Paswan slams Bihar administration after woman 'gang-raped' in Bodh Gaya
Patna/IBNS: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has slammed the NDA government over the law and order situation in Bihar in the wake of a 26-year-old woman's alleged gang-rape in a moving ambulance in Bodh Gaya.

Speaking to the reporters, Chirag, who is a part of the same coalition that is in power both in the state and Centre, questioned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his government over why his administration is not able to prevent such incidents.
"The way such incidents are taking place in Bihar and the administration are bowing down before the criminals... It's true that the incident is condemnable, shameful, actions have been taken and arrests done too, but why are such incidents happening in the first place?
"The way murders, kidnaps, loots, robbery, rapes are taking place in Bihar, now it seems the administration has completely failed to stop these incidents. We would be led to a frightening situation in our state if these incidents keep on happening. The situation is already frightening. Just imagine the situation of the victims or their families," the LJP (RV) chief said.

The Union Minister of Food Processing Industries said it is the administration's responsibility to prevent such incidents from happening even if any conspiracy is hatched to defame the government ahead of the polls.
"I also believe these incidents are being carried out to some extent as a conspiracy to defame the government but even then, it's the responsibility of the administration to prevent such incidents. Either the administration is in collusion with them or has completely failed. I would request the Bihar government to act in a timely manner.
"I feel sad to support a government that has completely failed to control crime. It would be extremely important to stop such incidents otherwise Bihar will face harsh consequences," said the 42-year-old.
Earlier, Nitish's prime opponent, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav trained his guns at the NDA government over the alleged failure of law and order.
In an X post, Tejashwi wrote, "... In Bihar, would you call this a demonic rule? A depraved rule protected by criminals? A mega-jungle rule, or the misrule of Modi-Nitish?
"In the demonic rule of Modi-Nitish, the dignity of mothers, sisters, daughters, and innocents is being looted daily in this manner, yet no minister or deputy chief minister dares to utter a word about the uncontrolled incidents of crime, rape, and corruption?"
"The silence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his two so-called deputies on burning issues is criminal. If even such incidents do not make the blood boil of the so-called enlightened and justice-loving people who are steeped in prejudice, then understand that such people are first-class, hardcore casteist and biased individuals."
