At least 51 people, including 15 children, died after a flash flood hit central Texas and left the region badly damaged.
The Kerr County region remains badly damaged with 27 children still missing in the region.
They were all part of a Christian youth camp that was located along the River Guadalupe.
There have been 850 uninjured and 8 injured individuals rescued/evacuated, as of just before 9 a.m, the official website of the county said.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott was quoted as saying by the official website: "We will stop at nothing to ensure that every asset and person and plane and whatever is needed is going to be involved in the process of rescuing every last person and assure everybody in this is going to be fully accountable." As part of that pledge, he signed a state-based disaster declaration that not only included Kerr County, but also the following counties: Bandera, Coke, Comal, Concho, Gillespie, Kendall, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCullough, Menard, Reeves, Sam Saba and Tom Green. More counties may be added later."
"This will ensure all the counties identified here (and some may be added later) will have access to every tool, strategy and personnel that Texas can provide for them -- which will be limitless. We'll put in everything we have in the entire state," he said,
"We will not stop," until we find every, last person," Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick added.
Kerrville Mayor Joe Herring said: "We will not stop. We will rescue those in peril and find those that are missing." He also asked everyone to please pray for our community. "This is a hard day, and there will be hard days to come."
