Mumbai BMW hit-and-run case impact: Shinde Shiv Sena removes Rajesh Shah from deputy leader's post
Mumbai/IBNS: The Eknath Shinde camp of Shiv Sena has removed Rajesh Shah as the deputy leader of the party as an impact of the deadly BMW accident where his son Mihir Shah is involved, media reports said.

Rajesh Shah has been discharged from the post following the order of Chief Minister and party chief, Eknath Shinde.
The accident occurred after Mihir, who was under the influence of alcohol, rammed his BMW car into a two-wheeler causing the death of a woman and injury to her husband.
The deceased has been identified as Kaveri.
Kaveri and her husband went to make a trip to Sassoon Dock to fetch fish.
As they were returning home with their catch, their two-wheeler was hit from behind by a speeding BMW.
The impact caused their bike to overturn, throwing both the husband and wife onto the bonnet of the car.
In a desperate attempt to save himself, the husband managed to jump off the bonnet. However, his wife was not as fortunate.
The accident led to chaos which enabled the driver of the four-wheeler to flee the scene, leaving the injured woman behind.
The injured woman was quickly rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Mihir was arrested on Tuesday. Rajesh Shah, who was arrested in connection with the same case on Sunday, was released from bail.
He was granted bail after paying Rs. 15,000.
According to reports, the cops believe Rajesh Shah and their driver helped Mihir escape.
