NEP aims to make India global knowledge superpower: Kerala Guv Arif Md Khan
Jaunpur/UNI: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said on Wednesday the main objective of the National Education Policy 2020 is to focus on education and learning and make India a global knowledge superpower.
While talking to UNI, Arif Mohammad Khan said the National Education Policy 2020 aims to create an efficient education system by 2040 in which all learners have equal access to high-quality education irrespective of their socio-economic background.
He said its objective is to create a new system that will pave the way for becoming a world leader by incorporating the traditions and values of India.
He said in order to restore the glory of India, special emphasis has been given in the new education policy on the dimensions of India's cultural history, scientific exploration, and innovation. He said without education, a human being's life remains incomplete.
The governor said in today's era of technology, capital is created based on technology, and the one who has technology is a capitalist.
"The new education policy has been brought to give technical knowledge and knowledge of our culture to the people," he said.
Referring to the words of Gurudev Ravindra Nath Tagore, he said India will achieve true independence only when the foundation of India is completely based on education. He said India is the center of knowledge, education, and wisdom.
Khan said it is very important for us to be educated to get a respectable position. Giving examples of things said by Swami Ranganathan, he said Swami Ranganathan had said people say that Lakshmi does not go to the place where Saraswati resides, but he said that this is absolutely wrong, where Saraswati resides, Goddess Lakshmi will come automatically.
He said Swami Vivekananda had said if an educated person does not use his education to educate others, then it would not be wrong to call him a traitor.
