No VVIP treatment in guesthouses, MLAs to pay room tariffs in Himachal Bhawans: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu
Shimla/UNI: Himachal Pradesh legislators no longer would be treated as VVIPs in state guest houses especially Himachal Pradesh Sadan and Himachal Pradesh Bhawan outside the state as they would be charged the same tariff at par with the general public.
This was stated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while interacting with mediapersons after Congress legislative party meeting.
He said that it was decided in the meeting that all the MLAs and their family members would have to pay room tariffs in Himachal Bhawans or Sadan and other State Guest Houses as are being charged by the general public.
He said that the state government would provide top priority for the redressal of public grievances.
The Chief Minister also informed that his government would work towards ensuring transparency in governance and zero tolerance policy towards corruption would be adopted and a Transparency Act would be passed soon to achieve the purpose.
