Parliament security scare: Accused Sagar Sharma is a Lucknow e-rickshaw driver
Lucknow/IBNS/UNI: One of the two accused in Wednesday's Lok Sabha security breach case has been identified as Sagar Sharma, who is a resident of Ramnagar locality in the Alambagh area of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, police said.
Sharma and the other accused Monoranjan caused panic and chaos as they jumped from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber when proceedings were on around 1-30 pm. Both have been arrested.
A police source said Sharma's family members have revealed that he was an e-rickshaw driver in Lucknow.
"His sister has revealed that he was working as an e-rickshaw driver for the last three months. She revealed that before that he lived and worked in Bengaluru," the source said.
Sharma's sister said Sagar had left for Delhi a few days ago to take part in a demonstration.
"Sagar has been living in a rented house with his father, mother, and sister for the last 15 years," the source added.
Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, who were seated in the Lok Sabha's visitors' gallery before launching this shocking disruption, were given entrance passes requested by BJP MP Pratap Sinha's office.
The incident happened when Zero Hour of the House was in progress.
The individuals involved reportedly pulled out the canisters from their shoes.
They moved from desk to desk and it seemed they were trying to head towards the Well of the House.
