PM Modi announces extension of free ration scheme in poll-bound Chhattisgarh

Durg/UNI: In an emphatic measure against the scourge of impoverishment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced that the free ration scheme for 80 crore indigent citizens across India shall be extended for half a decade further.


Addressing a public meeting in this district headquarters of election-bound Chhattisgarh, the visiting dignitary averred, "I am cautioning you against those political parties that are playing a new game by mixing the venom of casteism to rend the unity among the poverty-stricken.

"Fresh conspiracies are being hatched and statements made."

Training his gun specifically on the Congress, the Prime Minister alleged that the party only deceived the poor.

"Our country’s have have become weary of listening to ‘garibi hatao’ slogans and empty words regarding social justice. In the name of that hollow promise, the Congress emotionally exploited the poor year after year and generation after generation.

"India’s underprivileged were losing self-confidence. The entire Congress game was for a single family and tycoons. As long as it remained in power at the Centre, the Congress looted funds that were rightfully meant for the indigent," he emphasised.

In the context of this state, Modi denounced the Congress manifesto as a bundle of lies.

"A Public Service Commission scam was perpetrated. The Congress regime did not even spare Mahadev’s name. Just a couple of days back, a massive law-enforcement action in Raipur unearthed a hoard of cash.

"People say this money belongs to speculators and gamblers. The jittery Chief Minister should tell the populace what link exists with the accused sitting in Dubai," he underlined.

The Prime Minister alleged that a liquor scam caused a loss of Rs 2,000 crore; cement Rs 500 crore; rice Rs 5,000 crore; Gothan Rs 1,300 crore; District Mineral Foundation Rs 700 crore and custom milling Rs 500 crore.

"The Congress abuses this Other Backward Class PM day and night. Their stomachs ache over how an OBC member adorned this office. They hate Modi and his caste. Stop abusing OBCs!

"Why is the Congress targeting the entire category? If Modi is from an OBC what is the fault of the entire segment? One Congress bigwig has been sentenced in this regard," he pointed out.

Chhattisgarh’s law and order situation is in shambles, the Prime Minister said, adding that the anti-people regime also closed down in excess of 100 Janaushadhi kendras.
