Modi, 73, was elected as the Prime Minister in 2014 after Congress-led UPA was dethroned from power after its 10-year rule.

The Prime Minister, who spearheads the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is seeking a re-election for the third consecutive term in 2024 summer.

In the survey report, Modi is followed by Mexico's Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who secured the second spot with 64 percent approval rating.

Switzerland's Alain Berset is in third place with a 57 percent approval rating.
