PM Modi takes holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Maha Kumbh Mela
Prayagraj/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
Modi wore track pants and presumably a saffron sweatshirt with religious beads dangling from his neck to take the holy bath.

The Prime Minister prayed to the God at a considerable depth of the river amid heightened security in the city of Prayagraj.
Earlier, he was seen travelling in a jetty with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to the Maha Kumbh.
The Prime Minister took the holy dip days after at least 30 people were killed and 60 others injured in a stampede which took place at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Union home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, boxing icon Mary Kom, American billionaire businessman Steve Jobs' wife Laurene Powell Jobs were among the VIPs who attended the festival.
Attended by sadhus, ascetics, pilgrims, the Kumbh Mela is the Hindu pilgrimage held every 12 years.
The Maha Kumbh or Grand Kumbh is held every 144 years.
This year's Maha Kumbh is significant as it coincides with the 12th Kumbh Mela.
