Punjab: BSF seize 5.3kg of heroin from a village located close to Amritsar

The Border Security Force (BSF) seized five packets of contraband suspected to be heroin from a farming field on the outskirts of Attari village in Amritsar district on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier Headquarter of the BSF said early Wednesday morning, on specific information with regard to the presence of drugs in the said area, a joint search was launched with the cooperation of Amritsar police.
During the search, a black bag containing five bags of contraband suspected to be heroin weighing 5.290 kg was recovered.
