Rahul Gandhi visits temple, witnesses Kathakali arts form at Malappuram
Malappuram/UNI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was undergoing wellness treatment at Arya Vaidya Sala (AVS), at Kottakkal, offered prayer at Sri Viswambara temple, which is located in the AVS premises on Wednesday late evening.
Rahul Gandhi, was admitted at AVS for two weeks, since July 21 for rejuvenation and enhancement of the immunity power, including from the vexing knee pain.
Gandhi spent 90 minutes witnessing the full "Dakshayagam" story of Kathakali arts form, performed by PSV Natyasangham, the cultural centre of AVS, established by Vaidyarathnam P S Varrier, on the last day.
He reached around 1915 hrs and interacted with the Kathakali artist and also found time to pose for a photo session along with the artist, who performed the Kathakali, and then witnessed the arts form along with AICC Organising General secretary K C Veungopal, Renowned Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair, Mathrubumi Daily newspaper Managing Director M V Sreyams Kumar, its Editor P V Chandran and Dr P Madhava Varrier.
MT Vasudevan Nair, K C Venugopal, Sreyams Kumar, have also been admitted at AVS during the Malayalam month Karkidakkam chikithsa (treatment), near the rooms, where Rahul Gandhi was admitted at AVS, Kottakkal.
Rahul writes on Facebook as " Thoroughly enjoyed an enthralling performance of Kathakali by PVS and also got the opportunity to visit the Sri Viswambara temple".
