S Jaishankar to visit South Africa for G20 FMM tomorrow
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will be visiting Johannesburg, South Africa on February 20 and 21 to participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM).

He will visit the country at the invitation of the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa Ronald Lamola.
"The EAM’s participation in the G20 FMM will strengthen India’s engagement with G20 countries and bolster the voice of the Global South in this important forum," read the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
The EAM is expected to hold few bilateral meetings in the margins of the FMM.
What is G20?
The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Kingdom and United States) and two regional bodies: the European Union and the African Union (as of 2023).
The G20 members represent around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.
