Student from Pune college lands Google job with Rs 50 lakh salary package
Harshal Juikar, a student at MIT-World Peace University in Pune, has reached a remarkable milestone by securing an impressive annual salary package of Rs 50 lakh from Google, media reports said.
What makes this achievement noteworthy is that Harshal, despite not having an engineering background, pursued his passion by enrolling in an MSc program in Blockchain Technology, India Today reported.
He chose a unique career path, deviating from conventional routes. Harshal's exceptional success has not only left a lasting impact on his educational journey but has also become a source of inspiration for many individuals.

“During my computer science Bachelor's degree, I realised the significance of constantly updating my skills to remain relevant in this fast-paced world of technology. Consequently, I proactively pursued self-learning to expand my knowledge beyond the formal curriculum,” says Harshal Juikar while sharing his journey, said the report.
“While I was pursuing Masters in Blockchain technology from MIT-WPU, Pune, I got hands-on training on the fundamentals from industry experts and also got to work on massive datasets, analyse statistical algorithms, solve practical problems, and create predictive models,” he adds.
Harshal's triumphant journey is the result of his educational foundation in computer science and blockchain technology, combined with his proactive commitment to continuous self-learning and staying abreast of industry advancements. This holistic approach has played a pivotal role in facilitating Harshal's seamless transition into the technology sector.
“I couldn't wait to start this incredible journey and contribute to the world of technology on such a prestigious platform,” he adds.
“My passion for these things played a crucial role in my selection. Also, I got an opportunity to work with Google as an intern, through which I received experience working with Google very closely,” says Harshal while commenting on the key factors that contributed to his success in landing this job.
He further adds, “It helped me to get a sense of the work culture and the opportunity to interact with some great minds from the industry. It allowed me to expand my horizons.”
“As mentioned earlier, my internship experience with Google simplified many things for me. Blockchain Technology is the future and there is a huge demand in the market for resources having expertise in this field. Every field is challenging in its own way,” Harshal Juikar explains.
Regarding the interview process at Google, he says, “Non-engineering graduates may face some challenges, but one can definitely overcome these challenges by showcasing the right approach. Big companies like Google like to invest in the right candidate who has passion, dedication, and ability to adapt and excel in the tech industry.
“That’s why their selection process is tough, but with the correct attitude and approach, one can crack it,” says Harshal.
