The Telegraph Editor Sankarshan Thakur dies after brief illness, Congress mourns
Senior journalist and The Telegraph's Editor Sankarshan Thakur died in a hospital in the National Capital Region after a brief illness on Monday.

He was 63.
Thakur, who was born in Patna on July 13, 1962, is known as one of the finest journalists of the country.
Before returning to The Telegraph for his second stint in 2009, he worked with The Indian Express, Tehelka and Third Eye TV, reported The Telegraph.
The Press Club of India mourned his death and wrote on X: " Sankarshan Thakur, senior journalist, author and Editor of The Telegraph, passed away at Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon today. "
His last rites will be conducted at the Lodhi Road crematorium, New Delhi at 5 pm, the PCU earlier wrote on X.
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge condoled the death of the prominent journalist and wrote on X: " Deeply saddened by the passing of brilliant journalist, author and the editor of the Telegraph, Shri Sankarshan Thakur."
"His incisive reporting, fearless political commentary and eloquent writing style leave an enduring legacy. My deepest condolences and thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues and readers," he said.
