Trends show Delhi MCD election not a cakewalk for AAP as BJP offers close fight
New Delhi/IBNS: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its prime opposition force Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are tied in a close fight as per the trends of the Delhi civic poll results, media reports said.
According to the latest report, the AAP, which runs the city government, is leading in 133 of 250 wards.
The BJP, which has been out of power in the city for decades but held the civic body's rule, is leading in 104 wards.
The saffron camp has crossed the AAP several times in the process of the vote counting since morning.
The AAP camp with its top leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal went into a huddle with the figure showing a closer fight contrary to the exit polls.
