In a post on X, Das alleged that police had launched a crackdown on the protesters.
"DIPKE HAS BEEN PICKED UP BY THE POLICE! WE REQUEST ALL MPs TO IMMEDIATELY STAND IN SUPPORT OF THE STUDENTS ON THE STREETS! THE POLICE IS BRUTALLY CRACKING DOWN AND BEATING UP PEACEFUL PROTESTERS," he wrote.

Delhi Police lathicharge CJP protesters during 'Chalo Sansad' march
Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel on Monday resorted to a lathicharge to disperse protesters gathered for the CJP's "Chalo Sansad" march as the anti-government agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak and other education-related issues intensified.
Police used batons to disperse the swelling crowd at Jantar Mantar, the epicentre of the protests, after demonstrators attempted to march towards Parliament despite being denied permission.

Authorities had erected multiple layers of barricades around the protest site and deployed heavy security personnel to prevent the march from proceeding towards the Parliament complex.
The CJP has been spearheading protests against the Centre over the alleged NEET paper leak and broader concerns surrounding the country's education system.
The "Chalo Sansad" march was called to press for action on these demands on the opening day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Is this a war zone? Why is the police resorting to tear gas assault on peaceful protesters?

Sir @narendramodi have you decided we are no longer a democracy? First your govt ignored this protest for a month and now when we are peacefully marching your govt is attacking us. Why? pic.twitter.com/F52ELTr2Jp
Several Opposition leaders joined the protest in solidarity with the demonstrators despite the police denying permission for the march.
