AR conducts medical camps in districts of Manipur

Manipur: In a dedicated effort to improve healthcare access in remote regions, Assam Rifles conducted a series of medical camps under operation ‘SADBHAVNA’ across the villages of Mongbung, Sejang, Saikulphai, Tuisen, Nungba and Mukti Khullen, located in the Jiribam, Tamenglong, and Noney districts of Manipur.
The camps, conducted over a span of 15 days, culminated on 11 July 25 and benefitted 841 individuals including 219 men, 393 women and 229 children. The initiative aimed to uplift the health and well-being of local residents by delivering essential medical care and fostering health awareness at the grassroots level. Villagers from surrounding areas also actively participated, reflecting the far-reaching impact of the outreach.
Led by a qualified Medical Officers, the Assam Rifles medical team provided free consultations, distributed essential medicines and educated attendees on primary healthcare practices and preventive care. The effort was focused not only on treatment but also on instilling long-term health awareness and promoting community well-being.
This humanitarian outreach also fostered a spirit of unity and mutual trust, reinforcing the continued commitment of Assam Rifles to the motto of being the ‘Sentinels of the North East’, working tirelessly not just for security, but also for the welfare of the people.
