It's official! 'Saiyaara' actress Aneet Padda locked for lead role in Shakti Shalini
Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Aneet Padda, who grabbed the public attention with Saiyaara which went on to become a blockbuster in theatres earlier this year, has bagged a big opportunity.

After much speculation, it is now confirmed that Aneet has been locked for the lead role in Shakti Shalini, which is a part of the Maddock Films horror‐comedy universe (HCU) curated by producer Dinesh Vijan.
The franchise is known for films like Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022) and Munjya (2024).
Aneet Padda's name was seen in the Shakti Shalini teaser, which was played out at the theatres during the screening of Thamma, a film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui released on Tuesday coinding Diwali.
The lines in the teaser read, "The Protector. The Destroyer. The Mother of All. Aneet Padda in Shakti Shalini. Shakti unleashed Dec 24, 2026."

Aneet had earlier stolen hearts with her brilliant performance in the series Big Girls Don’t Cry.
In Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, she teamed up with debutant Ahaan Panday and the couple's on-screen chemistry was paid off well in the box office.
Saiyaara, which is one of the biggest Hindi film hits so far this year, was released on July 18.
