Director S.S. Rajamouli described the movie as one of the ambitious projects in his cinematic career.
Rooted in Hindu mythology, the movie promises to be a mega journey into the world of fiction and time travel.
According to reports, Rajamouli revealed that one major sequence of the film was inspired by “an important episode from the Ramayana.”

“While writing every scene and every dialogue, I felt like I was floating,” he was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
The movie is seeing the collaboration between S.S. Rajamouli and southern sensation Mahesh Babu for the first time.
“It is a once-in-a-lifetime project,” Babu was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
“I will make everyone proud. The whole of India will be proud of us," he said.
Priyanka Chopra returned to Indian cinema after a long time with this project after appearing in several Hollywood movies in recent years.
“I know him as MB — the legendary, incredible Mahesh Babu,” she was quoted as saying during the event by the newspaper, thanking his family for making her “feel like Hyderabad is my home.”
The movie is scheduled to hit the silverscreen in 2027.
