Assam Taekwondo Academy Shines at 6th Kamrup District Championship, secures gold medals in multiple categories
Guwahati/IBNS: Assam Taekwondo Academy's K Seleibi Chanu showcased her exceptional skills on the second day of the 6th Kamrup (Metro) district Taekwondo Championship, held at Nehru Stadium's DTRP Indoor Stadium in Guwahati.

Chanu emerged victorious, securing the gold medal in the junior girls' over 68 kg category. Nishta Das from KS Taekwondo Center also displayed an impressive performance and claimed the silver medal in the same category.
In the under 68 kg category, Priyanka Dev of Dispur Taekwondo secured the gold medal, while Dixita Patgiri from Bishnu Jyoti settled for the silver.
Himani Kejriwal from Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti proved her prowess in the under 59 kg category and claimed the gold medal. Bhumika Barman from Shaurig Taekwondo and Fitness Studio secured the silver medal.
Pratishka Kashyap from KS Taekwondo Center and Pinki Das of Jhalukbari Taekwondo Academy earned the bronze medals.
Nadia Syed and Sushmita Roy from Jeonsa Academy won the gold and silver medals, respectively, in the 42 kg category. Saanvi Kapilya of Delhi Public School and Tisha Nath from Bishnu Jyoti secured the bronze medals.
Bristi Parashar representing Dispur Taekwondo claimed the gold medal in the junior girls' under 44 kg category, while Kosmita Das from Jhalukbari Taekwondo Academy settled for the silver. Subhalaxmi Sinha of MES Kahilipara and Riya Sinha from The Rex Martial Arts earned the bronze medals.
Hiya Lunia from Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti clinched the gold medal in the under 46 kg category. Priyanka Deka of Bishnujyoti won the silver, while Harshita Lahkar representing KS Taekwondo Center secured the bronze.
Harshita Bharti of Dispur Taekwondo delivered an outstanding performance in the under 49 kg category, claiming the gold and bronze medals. Priyakshi Deka from Bishnujyoti secured the silver medal.
Stuti Kingkinee Mazumdar from Elite Taekwondo Academy emerged as the winner in the under 52 kg category, securing the gold medal. Riya Jha representing Assam Taekwondo Academy, settled for the silver, and Sanjukta Pathak from Bishnu Jyoti, earned the bronze medal.
Raksha Baruah of MES Kahilipara dominated the under 55 kg category and earned the gold medal. Radha Major from Jhalukbari Taekwondo Academy performed commendably, securing the silver. Zafeerah Munir of Delhi Public School and Garima Das representing MES Kahilipara secured the bronze medals.
Ali Ahmed Zafry, the Vice President of All Assam Taekwondo Academy, told Guwahati Plus, "The winners from these categories will now proceed to compete in the upcoming Taekwondo national championship."
