Gill, Pant's tons power India set massive target for Bangladesh in Chennai
Chennai/IBNS: Riding on twin centuries by Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, India set a mammoth target of 515 for Bangladesh in the first Test in Chennai on Saturday.
India declared their second innings at 287/4 after smashing the Bangladeshi bowlers for more than a session since morning.

While Gill remained unbeaten at 119 from 176 balls, Pant maintained his trademark aggressive batting, slamming 109 from 128 balls. Pant hit 13 fours and 4 sixes in his fiery knock.
India bowled out Bangladesh for just 149 in the first innings of the inaugural Test in Chennai on Friday. Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan (32) was the top scorer for the visitors.
Apart from Bumrah who scalped four wickets for 50 runs, Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj shared two wickets each.

India were bowled out for 376 in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja missed his century as he was dismissed for 86 from 124 balls.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the top scorer for India with 113 from 133 balls. Hasan Mahmud picked five wickets conceding 83 runs for Bangladesh.
