India beat New Zealand to win Champions Trophy

India put up a dominant show to beat New Zealand by four wickets in the Champins Trophy final to lift the trophy in Dubai on Sunday.
After restricting New Zealand to 251 runs for the loss of seven wickets, Indian batsmen, led by skipper Rohit Sharma's scintillating knock, reached 254 runs for the loss of six wickets with six balls to spare.

Rohit Sharma top scored for India with his fascinating 76 runs knock.
Shreyas Iyer (48) and KL Rahul (34*) remained the other major contributors with the willow who ensured India crossed the winning margin easily at the end on a pitch where spinners were dominating.
Ravindra Jadeja (9*) ended the day as a hero since he hit a boundary in the last ball of the penultimate over to clinch the ICC Champions Trophy that returned to the calendar after eight years.
Mitchell Santner, New Zealand skipper, clinched two wickets.
